Humans are the only species with sapient and sentient intelligence. This is a gift because it has allowed us to conquer the world like no other animal. Our species is the only one capable of believing in a deity, so it's conceptually sound to surmise that we have been set apart. And all that = God exists.

Excuse me.... we are the only creatures with intelligence (sapient and sentient)? Depends on what yardstick you are using, but Monkey's and Dolphins both are generally recognized as being fairly intelligent on the scale of things (using another yardstick many would not consider humans to be all that intelligent).

Perhaps you were meaning we are capable of abstract thoughts? Possibly... nobody has every managed to ask a monkey yet whether they have a concept of god, but maybe they are capable of displaying awareness of abstract thoughts in another way... hmmm, a question for an expert.

As for conquering... LOL. Dinosaurs once rules the world and until that time our distant ancestors were hiding under bushes whenever a dinosaur was near.

You know our ancestors believed the world was flat, at the center of the universe, riding on the back of a giant turtle, etc... we have believed lots of crap throughout the millennia. We used to worship the sun and some used to kill children and virgins to satisfy their deities.

I would point out that Dinosaurs dominated the Earth for 165 million years.

A time span several orders of magnitude greater than our time of "dominance".

Would you say that is proof of god?

As to our domination of the planet, let's explore what that entails, shall we?

Can we control the weather? No.

Can we prevent earthquakes? No.

Can we avert Hurricanes and cyclones? No.

Could we prevent a K/T event Meteorite from striking the Earth? No.

Stop Tsunamis? Weellll....... No.

Eliminate disease causing bacteria? No.

Stop locust plagues? guess not.

Destroy all higher lifeforms in a nuclear holocaust? Fuck yeah! Do that no problem!!!!!

So your claims of our world domination ring rather hollow when examined closely.

I must admit, I only read through the last pages here. However, I don't really see what the matter of discussion is.
With the "right" definition of "dominate", I think I can agree that we humans "dominate" the world. But then, how can this be proof for the existence of a god (or a similar being)? Just that one species evolved a bit further - or better say, in a specific direction - is no proof at all. It's highly probable by the rules of evolution! No need for god.
It is true, that something special is going on on earth when compared to other planets. But this can all be linked to the conditions here on earth, which are a consequence of our position in the solar system. That these things happened somewhere in the universe is highly likely anyway - no need for a god for sure.

If for example the dolphins would have evolved further, they would maybe also make up religions (maybe they even do) and think they are the chosen ones.

So, I think there is no need discussing the "specialness" of mankind as it is not linked to the existence of a god at all.
