We have 9 I know of in our town of 13,000.
I should probably add I'm in the south east of England.

If you're the ass end of Europe, what's Belarus?!

The backclash of communism. At least you got rid of the idiot twins.
Anyway, the biggest one in my town.
And 6 smaller ones, including the protestant church. Most dating back to the middle ages and all but the above smallish. About 32.000 people in my town.

I am grateful to live in the unchurched belt. In Oregon 24% of the people here are non-religious. But although 40% of Oregonians seldom or never attend services, our population is Catholics (14%), protestants (30% almost all evangelical), or Mormons (5%). I see a church about every 20 to 50 blocks depending on the part of town.

I'm near a very small town in the midwest. 1 bar and 4 churches.
With only 4 churches, and 40,000 christer denominations, the odds of having a One True Faith franchise here is very very tiny. Unless god is an alcoholic.

You're right, that is probably why.

I used that for my town, and I counted 70.

My hometown is a small community in Central (mostly) Rural Pennsylvania. Our town proper has about 5,500 but I think the extended area that gets the town's name in the street address is half of the county, which covers about 20,000 people. 22 Churches.
According to that "church finder" site, that is. I could immediately think of the locations of at least 15 of them on that list, so it's probably accurate.

Don't worry, my friend. If this be the end, then so shall it be.
