Quote:Right now, you can look at the MSNBC file, which also includes NBC, and see how that network’s pundits and on-air talent stand. For instance, currently 45 percent of the claims we’ve checked from NBC and MSNBC pundits and on-air personalities have been rated Mostly False, False or Pants on Fire.

At Fox and Fox News Channel, that same number is now 58 percent. At CNN, it’s 22 percent.

How much of the stories on the news do you believe?

It is nice to see my total disregard for anything on Fox or MSNBC is spot on. If one looks at the specific quotes that were used to derive those numbers on the politifact website, one sees that the lies from NBC and MSNBC seem mostly from MSNBC. I wish they separated them out, as they are quite different from each other. One is completely worthless, and the other seems more ordinary.

I don't think the news makes stuff up too much.

It misrepresents and ignores things, though.

I've decided I now believe the first 5 minutes of the news, and the final 3 minutes.

Depends on what you mean by news.

On FOX I would give them a 0%.

On the others it depends if they are actually doing an investigative report or merely reading someone's press release.

I don't know where I'll get my news once Jon Stewart retires.
