Meaning the religion maybe older than dirt but the text that claims similar orgins to christianity was written 1300 years after Christianity...

Mithraism was a "mystery cult," you dumb fuck. It did not have 'holy books.'

Asshole.

It's called google minnie, It's kinda like an instant version of an encyopedia. If you wanted to look up something like "Mythra Holy Books" you just type it in and google believe it or not searches all of the inter webs and pulls all relevent pages for you and compiles them into a list.

for instance: a simple "Google" search tells us that Mythra is apart of the patheon of the Parsees, or Zoroastrians.

And we learn that the Parsees, or Zoroastrians did indeed have a several holy books in fact that describe what is known of mythra and the rest of those gods. But, again those books only date back to the 13th century.

Again minnie its call google. I think if you learn to use it, it MAY Help you from saying stoo-pid stuff.

But probably not.Tongue

so?

Uh..I think Drich might be confusing the Zoroastrian Mithra and the Mithraic Mysteries (from the proto-Indo-Iranian "Mitra").

Google indeed, Drich.

So pagan stuff because mythra is pagan. Jesus is based on mithra and christianity is really similar to mithras.

I have noted that drippy is such a dumb fuck that there is virtually nothing he can't confuse.

Since you've learned how to use Google, drippy, (surprised you know how to spell it) here's a link to the Mithraic Mysteries.

Maybe i am wrong but from what i can tell, not a scrap of evidence has been produced in this thread which suggests Christianity was copied from other religions.

Regarding the "sons of thunder" is it possible that Jesus was merely borrowing a cute nickname from the Hellenistic culture around him? I read that Galilee was somewhat more Hellenized than the rest of Israel. For example, Jesus might have simply meant that they were like twins and used the name of the famous twins from mythology.

You probably agree that Christianity copied elements from some sect of Judaism. We need a clearer and narrower definition of what we are trying to demonstrate about Christianity IMO.
