This might be a stupid question but why don't the countries in the Middle East band together to fight against ISIS? Aren't they afraid that ISIS will one day try to take over their countries also?

They are. But they also face a credibility problem with their citizens who distrust the U.S. since we are leading the coalition.

And they are also in Iraq and Syria dealing with competing factions, so it also depends on literally the month as to who is aligned with who. Isis didn't help themselves with their recent barbarity though.

So I am watching MSNBC and a Arab woman was guest explaining Jordan's reaction. Holy fuck it seems it was not the torture that bothers them, but the superstition of ending up in hell if you are cremated? How does that work if you are not consenting to being burned alive?

Their god is far too busy counting daily prayers and making sure women who get raped get the stonings that are coming to them. Allah hasn't got time to look into the torture and murder of some insignificant pilot.

I don't understand how someone can watch their group burn someone alive and go 'yep, we're the good guys here, we're the ones in the right'. I mean, there's rumours of ISIS cruicifiying and burying children alive and using mentally challenged ones as sucide bombers. How can anybody think that they are on the right side after things like that?

You simply define your opponent as "the other." Its the one thing religions have always done very, very well.

My wife asked why the radicals give a fuck about a woman and want to get her back. Good question. I doubt they had any intention of honouring any deal, this is just another power play.
