Why aren't you a moderate, or secular Muslim, then? Historicity of Muhammad is about as "certain" as that of Jesus and Muslims see their religion as continuation of judeo-christian tradition.

What about Mormonism then? We know Joseph Smith existed. We know thousands of people followed him and now his religion has millions of members. Give it a thousand years - who knows, Mormonisms may be the only denomination of Christianity left and its apologists will have found all sorts of "facts", confirming, that his golden tablets were real and he really did read them out of a hat. They may also erase, or undermine any records we currently have, that J. Smith was a convicted fraudster.
Don't get me wrong - you're free to believe what you want and I don't mean to criticize, but it's interesting to me, that you rationalize your belief in some holy books, but - seemingly arbitrarily - not others.
