But when the Christians come back at you with the truth of what's actually going on out there you whine and cry. By sex trade do you mean forcing vulnerable people to have sex with other people or just prostitution in general? I believe the best way to end the practice of forcing people to have sex for pay is to make prostitution legal. Legalization would remove the fear for prostitutes of going to the authorities when they either have problems or observe the abuse of other prostitues. I would imagine that the religious makeup of most people who force others to be raped for money depends on whatever is the major religion in their countries. Serious question, which Christian organization is doing more to end forced prostitution then pray? Where is any evidence that their methods have helped more than the countries that regulate legal prostitution? Seriously, what are you on about? Cite where I've ever lambasted Christianity on this thread or indeed any other thread over slavery? You know, I come from a country where we value education, so I'm already well aware of the liberation theologies of Wilberforce et al and their contribution to abolishing the slave trade triangle. But I have to conclude you've gone off your rocker when it comes to laying modern day slave trafficking at the hands of 'atheists' [defined]. You realise that a lot of sex trafficking for example comes out of Eastern Europe and the Balkan states right? Traditionally very conservative Orthodox Christian countries? What about slave labour being employed by Gypsy communities in Western Europe, of which there have been several recent examples. Typically they're Roman Catholic Gypsies, don't you know? But hey, I'm not going to stoop to the idiocy of you and infer a correlation between their religion and their propensity to indulge in modern day slavery. Because that'd be something you'd do, and a rule of thumb is that if you're doing it, it must be wrong (bracketing out the fact that it is indeed wrong, and you could have every Catholic in the world engaging in slavery but that =/= they engage in slavery because of their religion). do some atheists engage in slavery? I dunno, based on weight of numbers yeah, they probably do. So fucking what? What's your point here man? You got anything else other than blind prejudice to back up your claims or are we going to have to repeatedly school you again and again on fallacies of assertions? I actually tried to cut this line of thinking off more than once. Yet you all keep insisting I was going to be physical, you wouldn't listen because you wanted this to be the way you saw it, instead of believing when I said it wasn't. Try this one, you ever heard of a business referred to as bleeding money. Now we all know that money and blood are different, correct. Well man can bleed in many ways too, I know I've done it many times in the past, try if you can to figure this out. Not necessarily about me but people in general, time you young'uns learned a thing or two about life. Quote:GC, lets be blunt. You got pissed off, you said some stuff you probably wish you hadn't, and now you're trying to suggest you didn't actually say what you said. Here's blunt, I never got mad, why would I, what you said is nothing that hasn't been said here many times. Yes I said I would make you bleed, but it was you and others wanting to run down a Christian that lead to your jumping to conclusions. It is you all that need to rethink how you deal with Christians statements, you shouldn't be so careless and always want to think bad of us. You've shown yourselves to be as you've been accused of in the past by several Christians here. I've watched you all run off many good people from here, by being disrespectful, whether you do it purposely or not you all gang up on a Christian and badger them until they just give up the post. Finally they will leave, they get tired of the crap you all dish out because you simply desire to win at all cost. Blunt enough? Quote:I think I'd have a lot more respect for you if you said Here's what I mean, you want me to concede, you want the win even if it means I would lie about myself. Well it want work with me, I'm far to stubborn to give into the games you guys like to play and I never will give in to them. If you do not want to believe what I say fine, I do not care, I use to, not any more, the atheist here have shown that caring about what they believe about what I say is a futile endeavor. Quote:I'll be blunt again. You're off form. Look at the last few pages of posts, you got needled into making personal attacks on people and you should be better than that. I've made no personal attacks, I've responded to a few thrown at me, and I may have be a bit rude, but personal attack, no. Quote:Your wittness, such as it is, is better served discussing ideas and concepts rather than getting down into the muck and throwing it at the people you're trying to save. We've all had a certain amount of guilty fun winding you up, and you've risen to it every time. It was fun, its now getting kinda awkward. For me at least. I'm going to say this again for the umpteenth time, I never came here to save anyone, wasn't my purpose and still isn't, that's God's business. I'm here to learn and learn I have, things I liked and disliked about myself and others. you all have made it quite clear you hate the idea of my God and until He breaks you of that nothing can be done. My hope is those who come and brows for whatever reason might read and then leave for a more sane place to ask questions. As I said above I know when the ganging up starts what's going own. Quote:My advice, and I'm not being snarky here, is to take a week off, reflect, and come back to it fresh. But its up to you. It's not me who needs the break, I take one when I know it's time. You all assumed something about what I said, this time I took advantage of your ways and played you all, it wasn't my intent to begin with, but I couldn't help but take the opportunity and hope in the end to make a point, well I hope I have, but to tell the truth I'm not going to hold my breath, experience is a valuable thing. But when the Christians come back at you with the truth of what's actually going on out there you whine and cry. I mean taking and using children as sex slaves, selling them for that purpose to others or make profit from them by forcing them into sexual acts they do not want to do, prostitution and porn are just a small part of this. Men and women pay huge amounts of money for children, both male and female, in the age range of 11 to 14, and if anyone doesn't find this sick, then all I can say about them is, they are in them self's sick. These children are shipped all over the world for this purpose and there are Christians following these people over the world to help free these young ones. Quote:I believe the best way to end the practice of forcing people to have sex for pay is to make prostitution legal. Legalization would remove the fear for prostitutes of going to the authorities when they either have problems or observe the abuse of other prostitues. That might work for those who chose that route, but most of the horrible sex trade I'm talking about is going on behind closed doors. That seems to be the response to illegal activities these days, make it legal so society can forget about the problem. Dealing with problems is the way man shows his compassion for others, pushing them aside by things like legalizing, only promotes distrust and uncaring and then those who needed help just give up because we have. Quote:I would imagine that the religious makeup of most people who force others to be raped for money depends on whatever is the major religion in their countries. Maybe for the people like ISIS and other hate groups, but most religions will look down upon actions such as I described. It's people who have more desire for money than they have compassion for a persons life, these are users that do these things, people who have no sanctity for human life. They care no more for a person than a bug, plain and simple. Quote:Serious question, which Christian organization is doing more to end forced prostitution then pray? Where is any evidence that their methods have helped more than the countries that regulate legal prostitution? I just watched a small bit on a news cast the other day and the Christians were from either one church or they formed a group from different churches to go into other countries and set these people up and then inform the local authorities to make the arrest, they would have these kids in hand and able to whisk them from the country to save the lives of the kids and themselves. These people keep their identity secret, they need to do so to keep helping and to keep from getting killed. They're secretive and I do not blame them, but ever child they rescue is one saved from horror. No, but you implied that it was only atheists who were involved in the sex trade business (which is false) and implied that it was only Christians trying to stop it (also false). And, there's a substantial difference between individual atheists who may be involved in the sex trade, and theists who were involved in slavery. There's no component to atheism that could possibly be used to justify such a crime. Slavery, and colonialism in general, on the other hand, had the blessing (literally) of the local clergy. It was the will of god to 'save' those savages, etc. Which isn't surprising, given the history of just about every religion. Proselytizing is really only efficient when it's at the end of a sword or gun. Can you not see the distinction? All atheism is is a lack of belief in deities. That's it. There's no religion. No church. No rites or rituals. No codified standards of behaviors. None of that. Yes, many atheists are also secular humanists (which is also not a religion), but they're not one and the same. So, when you go off on atheists and the sex trade, it's about as pointless as spouting off about brown eyed people in the sex trade. That particular quality of those people has absolutely no bearing on the actions they're taking. I know you think it does, because as a true believer you think atheists are immoral by default, but like just about everything else you assert, making the claim doesn't make that claim true. And since you're making the claim that 'atheists are the major players' in sex trading, the burden of proof is on you. That's how logic works. Now, give us reputable sources, or be quiet. You're embarrassing yourself.
