Yes, they tell that story in nursery school at some of these churches.
God so loved the world, that he murdered everybody (but a handful!), even babies, on it! Isn't God Awesome!
And we have pretty rainbows to remember his wrath by! Awwww, so thoughtful.

Rainbows! Aww. Nothing to do with an earlier god, and his actual bow. Of course not kids. Now shut up and kiss his ass or I'll make you watch "expelled" again.

Sooo... WTF used to happen after the rain, before the flood? Did the sunlight not split into bands when passing through tiny prism-like drops of water? Seems like a lot of effort to prevent that from happening every time precipitation occured anywhere on Earth, until humans' inevitable f***-up, requiring genocide followed by a faintly romantic gesture. Or did light, or water (and therefore physics, plant biology and all sorts of other things) work differently back then?

My guess is they will say that rainbows always happened before the flood, it's just that god made a special point of marking the significance of the rainbow after the flood so we all remember how great he is.
Anything other than that would be way too difficult to fit into their delusions.

The Bible tells why there were no rainbows before the flood, if you are interested you should study the Bible. To understand anything it has to be studied, the Bible is no exception, study and you'll find the answer. Hint it's in Genesis.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

GC Well I tried looking here..
https://answersingenesis.org/creationism...the-flood/
But only got so far down the page before my brain started to mis-fire.
I see that it was perhaps mist that provided the water cycle before the flood? Surely that would just cause perma-rainbows?
Come on GC, don't tease. Just sum it up for us so we don't misinterpret the bible.
Edit: No matter. Just read further down and the 'answer' is exactly as I predicted a few posts back. i.e. there were pre flood rainbows but god just made a special point about the one after the flood. Easy this bible stuff eh.
Edit 2: Which means you disagree with AIG GC. Perhaps you ought to drop them a line to inform them of their error?

And from that same page in AIG..
" There are some arguments that Christians should avoid because of their absurdity and some we should avoid being dogmatic about because they are not truly supportable from Scripture. The “no-rain” argument is in the latter category, and as such, it is an argument Christians should not use."
No fucking shit Sherlock! Christians with absurd arguments my arse! Oh that tickled me, those jokers over at AIG should do a comedy show.
