Creation is made from words? :/

Our words are a part of ourselves.
God's words are part of God, His word says the universe is held together BY His word.
It is a hard concept to see for us, since our words do not carry our personal force.

Creatio Ex Nihilo - Forming Something out of Nothing?

Our own apologists ought to state this.
AE Wilder-Smith did, to his credit.
So Jesus made everything. What did he make it out of?

You are equivocating on two kinds of "Word." The word in the Old Testament is something like the idea of Logos, or possibly like Platonic idealism. That's very different from the gospel, or the word as the transmitted truth about the existence of God. It also says, if I recall correctly, that the word was with god and is God. . . pretty esoteric stuff actually. But saying Jesus is the Word of God is goofy, unless Jesus wasn't actually a person but rather a philosophical idea (which is possible, I think).

They love the bald-face contradiction.

It's not even a tiny bit logical.
Quote: if "nothing" (in the philosophical sense that most theists stick to) is not meant to have any sort material from which to form anything. Nothing supposedly means no stuff, no properties, no material, etc.
If it doesn't have any properties, then it doesn't even have the property of not having something come from it.

You're not reading it right, Boru.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Clearly, then, this is one more instance of the Bible not meaning what it says in simple declarative sentences.
Silly, silly me.
