Lek,
When ending a set of nested quotes use a capital "Q" for the final [/quote]. Then Losty will dry her eyes.

You're on your way. I remember my transition through your stage. Though, I fear the worst has yet to come.

Not so. My views on various christian doctrines and other issues have changed many times in the past. I have no urge to depart from my faith.

Not so. My views on various christian doctrines and other issues have changed many times in the past. I have no urge to depart from my faith. I don't think I would have ever labeled any part of what influenced my deconversion as an "urge" either. It's good that they change. It is important to point out though, if you shave enough off of a square, it becomes a circle, and eventually, speaking about the same object no longer requires references to angles, unless you are describing the properties of another thing may exist but, but is no longer relevant.

I understand your devotion to your faith, Lek.
But I would say that for anyone to say they are absolutely certain of something and will not change, regardless of what the future may hold and what new thoughts and evidence may appear, is a very dangerous thing.
This goes for everything, not just religion. Just my opinion

Good luck. Perhaps you can have it your way and be a better rounded individual with a greater sensitivity to the rights and needs of even non-Christians. That would be enough to satisfy me. But of course you'll have to satisfy yourself/'god'.

Lek, I am impressed and thank you for sharing that. Although I think you're holding on to unnecessary baggage still, you've made some steps in the right direction if we are to "follow the evidence, wherever it leads." Keep up the good work.
