yes, there are worse groups out there. Right here in the US, we've got people bombing clinics, and doing other terrorist acts that hurt people more than just emotionally.

I don't really like defending the WBC. They're bad, and deserving of ridicule. However, until they start destroying property and killing people, ridicule is as far as i would go.

I know it's been done but I'd hold a sign saying, "God hates FIGS!" with the reference to when Jesus said "may no one ever eat from you again" to a fig tree.

I'd dress up in a clown suit and be "Phelpsie the Clown" and try to protest with them but always correct them,

"No, no, figs! FIGS! Jesus said not to eat figs anymore. And yet we Americans tolerate fig eaters. That's why bad things are happening to us. Sheesh, do I have to draw you people a map?"

While I agree with you, I don't think people really consider the bad that they actually do. I can't even imagine the horrors of one of my children dying before me, and then to have these monsters show up at the funeral. They're horrible, disgusting people. Complete garbage.

I am disheartened by the fact that WBC isn't picketed by many (I've never seen it) Christian groups with "love thy neighbor" signs.

If went, I would probably have a random sign. Maybe "On top if spaghetti, all covered in cheese"

If I could see a wall of Christians blocking the WBC picketers singing this song, my faith in humanity would be restored.
