EDIT: I'll re-open the thread as there appears to be some discussion (or willingness to have a discussion) beyond the obvious spammy nature of the OP.

I think this is relevant to the discussion

She's probably atheist given her circle of friends and willingness to speak openly about taboos.
Why don't you just ask her? Finding an Email address isn't that hard these days.

Does it really matter if Amy is an atheist to you? Does it have any relationship to her body of work? You state your religious view as God; would it matter if Amy prayed to one of the millions of Gods that mankind has invented or if she is sensible and realizes that they are all a human construct and a sham?

What I kind of wonder is what someone like this is psychologically getting out of drive-by posting a topic on a forum about something fairly obscure yet non-confrontational. The human mind is an amazing thing.

THAT'S the conversation here.
What is it about the internet that makes people do stuff like this? Is human interaction driven by need?
Devil's Advocate: this person could be a 12 year old who got a whim, right? Like, who better to ask than atheists?
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Right, so for some reason this has sort of facinated me, so I google searched
poehlerfan and what do you know, the same person went to basically every Atheist forurm on the internet and asked the exact same question and never apparently replied to any of them. It seems like a lot of work to set up all those accounts and then not actually do anything. I don't really understand. Obviously the need for human interaction isn't it, since they aren't interacting. Nor is it exactly trolling, which I can understand to some degree. It's just bizzare.

Perhaps he really does want the answer to the question (because he's a fan and it matters to his fantasy about her) and really did think atheists would be likely to know. But he couldn't be bothered to engage. Rational, but rude. Can't tell you how many people ask question on how to sort of forums and then can't be bothered to engage, even to thank people for responding. Of course most people behave better. . .
If there is a god, I want to believe that there is a god. If there is not a god, I want to believe that there is no god.

Right, so maybe they are more interested in the response from the communities to the completely inane question?
Say I go to a random set of forums, (or all of them, ffs!), ask a completely random question, and then log out, lurk, and watch as we ponder the nature of our reality...
