False dichotomy. Vader is reliant on science for his survival.

Besides, look what happens when you combine them:

What's with you guys? Doesn't any of you research the source material before you speak foolishly in an area the source clearly covers...

False dichotomy. Vader is reliant on science for his survival. Vader could only survive for a limited amount of time on the force if he went past his limit he would have surly died he is reliant on his suit to live. The force can only do so much in the books Darth Plagueis wanted to live forever and cheat death using the force he did some other thins i forgot just look at the wiki he is responsible for the procreation of Anikin starting episode 1 through 3 then you know what happens with Anikin he turns to the dark side.

In the vid, Vader needs his respirator: he has to use the force to maintain his breathing temporarily while he uses it simultaneously to fix his tech. This is a distraction tactic employed by Batman to keep Vader's abilities busy thus leveling the playing field. Nowhere is there the implication that Vader might maintain himself indefinitely because of his powers. If that were the case, he wouldn't need the tech at all.

Actually in the book (Shadows of the Empire) Vader was almost to the point of beathing on his own. That is why in the sene in ESB in the astroid field he was in his private quarters with his resporator gear off and the chamber door open. When he was told the Emperor wanted to speak with Him. Which is what inspired the quote "The force will sustain me." in the short film. That was an echo from the book.
