I do think the 30 seconds or so before being shot would be terrifying, at least if the warden gave a non-audial signal to the team. But LI seems not to be what it' was cracked up to be.

I always thought guillotine was the most humane way of execution for the to be executed. I don't know why squeamishness of observer should trump humanity towards those about to die. There is a solution to this. Put the person to sleep with anesthesia then carry out whatever method is available. No pain, no terror, just sweet dreams into oblivion. Even better, don't fucking kill 'em. It's a bit too permanent. The next innocent victim of capital punishment won't be the first, or the last.

'Soylent Green' had it down. Put on video and sound of choice then pump 'em up with 'good' drugs.

I don't know how the injection feels like but some critics of the death penalty have argued that it can sometimes be painful to the convicted.

There are some people that just need removed from our society. However, there need to be stricter rules for sentencing. There must be some real evidence and not just "she said." or "We found a hair on the carpet". The asshole running into a liquor store and shooting the cashier and it is on video. Burn the motherfucker.

Sure. I believe there've been times that the heart chemicals started first by accident, instead of the anesthetic, causing cramps in the heart.
