What the hell happened too these people.

Not quite the same is it. There is a difference to wearing what you want and being told to wear a specific item of clothing because a comic book said so. If you want a better comparison which would work for the 1970s, then it would be like someone who was wearing nice clothes because they are rich, and then you would have those who are on low-incomes or who are unemployed, thus they would buy cheap clothes or wear hand me downs. This is a much better comparison. Women wearing skirts one year, then there is a revolution, then the next, they are being told to wear hijabs. That is not free-will.

The Iranian regime is unjustly forcing this on people, as the political system is a shia system. I don't think thighs & naked legs & boobs guide to how civil a society is ; you can blame the U.S for funding a dictator like the Shah, who turned Iranians into slaves, until under poverty and exiles turned to extreme Shittism ?

As much as I blame the current religious Iranian government for this (each person in any country must have the right to wear whatever she/he wants), sometimes the superpowers keep on supporting dictators, until the people find no other salvation but extremism and such mentality.

Don't you notice, that the American foreign policy (especially) is the best sewer hole that spawns extremists ? Always the same story :
1)Find a scoundrel (gotta be the dickest dick in the country)
2)Support him with everything
3)Ignore the peoples' cries to stop supporting the war machine of the dictator, because he actually uses it to kill them when they want a better life
4)People turn insane.
5)People adapt an insane mentality, either extreme communism, or extreme Islamism ...etc.

That's why I love Sweden for example. It always keeps itself away from these fucked up political games, which proves that the american decision makers are actually drunk on horseshit.

Don't go ape shit on my ass. I already stated that the Muslim sects are destroying Islam with such acts. I'm taking a just stand and blaming everybody who did wrong.

You realized how awful the Southern caste system was on blacks right? That's my point. Iran was awfully conservative in areas before, Taking picture out of contexts marginalizes this poi..oh..fuck it. I tired and I'm going to bed.

Quite to the contrary. I don't think you'll find many neocon supporters among the atheists here. Our military/industrial complex combined with the effect money has on our government continues to drive our government's warmongering policies. Our media is controlled by a few major corporations, which demonizes certain nations and distorts the information Americans get. Even "liberal" MSNBC is controlled by a major defense contractor, so you get the drumbeat of war from even this source.

Even after the disaster of the recent Iraq War and the revelation of all the lies that drove us into it, the GOP is trying to stoke a war with Iran. These people have lost their minds. Thankfully, Obama is in office rather than McCain or Romney. Anyone who says there's no difference between the two parties should consider what the alternate universe where John "Bomb Bomb Iran" McCain was president would look like.

These people still exist. If you follow the reports from Iran, there's a strong youth culture meeting in private households.

Also, as always in these regions, you have to make a distinction between rural and urban regions. Rural is usually more religious than urban. In fact, you can find an example of that at your own doorstep.

If Mc Cain was president because of the issues with Russia as of now he would effectively start WW3 no one wins because we would start lobbing nukes at one another.

In fact, it is quite well known that under the Ayatollah, Christians were given freedom to practice their own religion in an Islamic country. Compare that to today where Christians are persecuted in almost all Islamic countries. Coptic Christians are the oppressed minority in what is their own country by rights, which the arabs took by force. The Jews were banished from most of the North African countries like Algeria because they feared for their lives. As for Shi'a Islam, it is an unjust branch of Islam however, it can in no way be compared to Sunni Islam which is out for destruction of Shi'as. I have a few Algerian friends on Facebook and they would be happy if a Shia got shot by an American soldier such is the hatred. Pretty much the same sort of hatred that can be seen between Protestants and Catholics in Northern Ireland, which is not really evident elsewhere in the world to such the same scale i.e. in England, many Catholics and protestants mix together and are friends, just like in France where I live, same thing. Another important point to be made, and is one that seems to be missed. Over the last few decades, Europeans and Americans have never ever been pardonned from the black population because of the slave trade, and I quite agree with them too. On the otherhand, there was something even worse than the Atlantic Slave trade, and that was the African/Middle Eastern Slave trade. In fact, more African people died because of the Arab slave trade than they did by the Atlantic Slave trade, this is a fact, and it can be verified. However, the fault seems to lie with the Europeans.

Yes, I am not that culturally stupid you know. However, it is NOT only a black problem and they shouldn't have the monopoly on that. Give them a choice, would they want to stay in the "land of the free", or go back to their roots, my guess is, in spite of the discrimination, they would stay. This is why Marcus Garvey's attempt to bring the Africans home to Ethiopia; their spiritual home, failed. Why would they want to go back, knowing that life would never be the same, in that they would be living in poverty, famine etc. Every faces the same discrimination, just like Sikhs in the United Kingdom. Why were Sikhs finally accepted, it was because they worked damn hard, they were polite, they had respect and showed humility and didn't walk around with big chips on their shoulders. I succeeded here in France in spite of the discrimination of being English, and having no-one English to talk to, it was damned difficult to get anywhere. So, I had only two choices, integrate or leave. I decided to integrate and that is when my life changed. I now have two beautiful daughters, I have a great job, I live in Paris, I speak and write French fluently in spite of failing my school exams. Either way, if you want to be respected in a foreign country, then work hard, integrate with the local people and assimilate. Otherwise, not bothering to learn the language or keeping yourself to yourself will only lead to insults and problems which are brought on by yourself.

This is inaccurate, in my experience. Libertine views were also widespread in the outlying larger cities like Shiraz, Kermanshah, Ahwaz, and Tabriz. It is true that rural populations were certainly more religiously conservative, but Western cultural influences, including libertine social values, were apparent in urban areas across the country, not just the capital, and it was not only a "small westernized elite."

This comports with what I hear from the expatriate Persian community here in Texas, and in SoCal.

Iran is a very young country demographically, and I think it will be not too long before we start seeing changes. The unrest in 2009 was the harbinger; the young folk there will not wait forever.

I saw this mentality on OccupyWallstreet's posts, it's very true. Actually, there are theories on the rise too, that militias are being sponsored by the U.S, due to the terrible amount of American firearms they have.

For example, a battle between ISIS and the Kurdish YPK would mean huge amounts of cash to the gun supplier, take that battle of "Ain-Al Arab (Kobany)- as an example.

The cycle of the war economy is indeed a republican tactic, I mean nobody would forget or forgives the fucked up game Bush played, and failed miserably, with millions of Muslims dying, thousands of Americans dead too, and the american economy collapses.

The republican party must know that Iran is not Iraq. That war, actually, would burn everything, that is WW3. Russia & China are there too to back Iran.

And if that war broke out, you guys would see why I always said nothing is about religion in this region. As with Syria, Russia personally stepped up to defend the regime.

With Iran, I even suspect an atomic war.
