Not to derail here, but I've been having some issues lately with my cats regarding this, specifically their little feline mental health since I'm gone all day, home for a few hours every night before I go unconscious in bed... I've just been worrying about how happy they are and if they're getting enough stimulation in the few hours I'm home.
It's getting to the time of year when it's light enough for me to take them on walks when I get home from work, though, so their lives get a little more exciting in the spring/summer/fall than they are during the dark, dreary winters.

Tanner had a cone once when he had an ear infection. I felt so bad for him but it was really hard not to laugh...

My dog hates the cone of shame too! She had to wear it for a while after she went ape shit in the garden and managed to rip one of her toe nails out.
