Dodged a Bullet Yesterday

RE: Dodged a Bullet Yesterday
Sorry to hear he's under the weather but It's good that god was pleased with your burnt offerings and only decided to torture and smite the dog's spleen.

I think the whole idea of humans "owning" pets is a bit funny, as it is a symbiotic relationship between two animals, one provides shelter and sustenance while the other provides companionship and loyalty. It's a cross species love affair without sex, well, provided you don't live in the middle east..

It might be this way with dogs but with cats... we don't own them. They own us.
As the saying goes: Dogs have owners. Cats have staff.
There's another saying... one I have hanging on a plaque in my home:
Women and cats do as they please. Men and dogs should get used to the idea.

Yup, I have two cats and I understand that well.
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.

Ha! That's a laugh. I mentioned Tango was blind in one eye but he doesn't have great vision in the other, particularly at night. If he wants to go into a dark room he stands at the door and barks. One of us then goes and turns a light on for him.

Which is funny, since they usually rely much more on their noses than their eyes.

But I'm moving farther and farther away from that owning stuff anyway. It's a bit OT, but only a tiny bit. Hungarian scientists, if I'm not mistaken, have trained dogs to lie perfectly still under an MRI. The discoveries they made are really inspiring and humbling, since the dog brain uses the exact same emotional centers as the human brain under similar conditions. They also investigated eye movement and discovered that dogs assess humans and other dogs in the same way we do when meeting someone.

I'd really love for our christians friends to climb from their homocentric high horse and have some more respect for our fellow beings.

That would have to begin with an acknowledgment that we evolved from a common ancestor and you know creatards would rather amputate their own dicks than admit that.
