Shaming? We are just talking about someone just having to be reminded of decorum and the rules, right?
I don't get the big deal. If I call someone out, if I derail a thread, if I threaten someone, then I've done it publicly so I would expect my reproach to be public as well. Would I really feel ashamed? Maybe, but I doubt that any of the people that our mods have to deal with are much of the remorseful type.

There's a difference between public comment and public whining about bias and preferential treatment.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'
