The "strike" and my personal opinion

RE: The "strike" and my personal opinion
Shaming? We are just talking about someone just having to be reminded of decorum and the rules, right?
I don't get the big deal. If I call someone out, if I derail a thread, if I threaten someone, then I've done it publicly so I would expect my reproach to be public as well. Would I really feel ashamed? Maybe, but I doubt that any of the people that our mods have to deal with are much of the remorseful type.

Note that whateverist created a thread for the very purpose of public comment on staff positions, and the staff stickied it. So, you're encouraging public comment, then getting upset about public comment.

I also noted this in that thread.

Staff has some issues.

There's a difference between public comment and public whining about bias and preferential treatment.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

So you want praise, and perhaps will accept neutral suggestions, but complaints? Those are whining. Got it!

Yes, that's it exactly. You got us bang to rights. Everything I and the others have said on this point has been precisely that; if you take what we said and change some of the words around, of course.

Are you fucking shitting me? Did you not read the thread? Do you not understand how comedy works? You seem liked the type of person who'd dig on taking the piss out of drippy. Do you fucking know who Drippy is?

I mean, bloody hell, it's a half joking comment about a member who deserves half joking comments. Why the fuck are you so reactionary? Lighten up.
