Why do Females Exist?



All animals, all fish and reptiles have the ability to reproduce of their own kind because they have females within the species. No male can reproduce and keep its kind alive without a female of the same species. Dogs, cats, horses, cows, elephants, humans, giraffes, lions, tigers, birds, fish, and reptiles all came into being having both male and female. If any species came into existence without a mature female present (with complimentary female components), that one male would have remained alone and in time died. The species could not have survived without a female.

Why did hundreds of thousands of animals, fish, reptiles and birds (over millions of years) evolve a female partner (that coincidentally matured at just the right time) with each species?

Something comes to my mind, that my father used to be fond of saying when I was younger "Best to keep your mouth shut if people think you're an idiot, rather than open your mouth and remove all doubt".
I can't add any constructive criticism except to say that many of Ray Comforts blog posts, particularly the last month or so, show his obvious ignorance on some very important topics.

Ray fails most successfully on this one because he starts out with the assumption that the male of the species came first, when there is not a single doubt in the scientific community that the female develops before the male. This is of course the reason for male nipples, the fact that every fetus is technically female until a marker in the DNA activates and develops the penis instead of the vagina.

In fact if we were to go into true technicalities, then every single single celled organism is "female" in the sense that it is the one that does the reproduction act, albeit asexually without a male. Several theories are well documented, as well as current research into the field.

I'm intrigued to know how Dawkin's will go on to explain the female and the male and reproduction in early life forms in TBW. By the way, so far so good. ( I've just collected my 'Evolution' book from Waterstones).

Do you live in UK then? Btw? Because it says midlands in your profile and the only "the midlands" I know of is in the Uk.

I don't have such an accent. Don't know why. Something to do with my dad. He said he used to practice being a newsreader when he was younger. I have no idea why, but basically I don't have much of an accent. I wonder what you would think I sounded like.
Also at the age of 7 I moved to norfolk untill two years ago. So I've been down south more. But I don't talk like them either really I don't think. I wonder what my accent is? or where it comes from? If I really have an "accent". Other than just my voice tone. Rather than picking up strong accents that others speak.
Last two years I've been in Cheshire.
So I've been in the midlands, the south and now the north west:p

I'm the same. When I was little we lived in Bolton for about 2 years and I had a strong Boltonian accent, then we moved to Coventry for quite a few years and my dad used to correct my speech a lot so I ended up speaking quite 'poshly' as many people would tell me, but still with my northern vowels..
