Fine then, if that asshole doesn't want to explain them why should I simply say "ok"?

Bullshit, Un has his "reasons" for running his country the way he does, also doesn't have to explain himself to anyone.

No the truth is Christians use that  bullshit excuse to avoid the truth that all they are doing is making excuses for bad logic.

If a parent in real life behaved in the same selective deadbeat manor as the God character does, the kids would be taken away and the parents would be arrested.

The excuses for God are always the same.

"I can do what I want"
"I work in mysterious ways"
"I don't have to explain myself to you"
"I blame you for what I started"
"Free will"
"I have my reasons"

Those are all bullshit cop out excuses that have nothing to do with any real god existing. They are merely your own mental justifications to cling to a god claim. You without realizing it have needlessly subjected yourself to property status, lab rat status. If you think that is rational to view yourself as property, I feel sorry for you.

There is no rational way to claim an absolute power who doesn't need your consent to rule over you as being good. That is a unhealthy attitude in civil society and is also unhealthy in personal relationships.

First, I'm not asking you to say OK. I don't care what you do.

Second, He does explain, in Romans 9. He allows evil in order to make a complete revelation of himself to us. E.g., we can't know him as comforter if there is no suffering. We can't know him as judge - or savior - if there is no sin.

Think for a moment imagine the bible didn't exist. You wouldn't know how god really is and the bible isn't a great source for knowing your own god either because all of it hearsay and i mean all of it and the majority of it has been ripped from older source materials and other religions. If a god does exist it isn't on of the bible and we wouldn't know who she or he or even it would even be like.

Bullshit,

That still puts you as his property.

You'd have me believe that there is a good reason Adam Walsh abducted by a child rapist, raped, sodomized, and decapitated has a reason? Would you sit and watch that happen to your own child if you had the power to stop it?

We can't know god without sin? Yep, as Bill Marher put it summarizing here "Can't have a super hero without a super villain". Yep, cant have Yoda without Darth Vader.

Your comic book is merely an old ignorant book written by humans who didn't understand the nature of reality.

In nature, in evolution, both cooperation and force work. Our evolutionary empathy is what we call "good" and is why we seek cooperation and when we are empathetic avoid harm to others. Evolution also unfortunately produces cruelty and force, and that is the "evil" humans try to avoid.

Your holy book merely takes our natural behaviors both good and bad and turns it into a comic book.

See if you can spot the pattern.

"We cant know Yahweh without sin"
"We cant know Allah without sin"
"We cant know lightening without Thor"
"We cant know spaghetti without the Flying Spaghetti Monster".

Tell me, would you convert if a Muslim quoted the Koran? No, so why do you think you are doing any better by quoting your holy book? Everyone quotes their holy books, so?

If you stupidly want to subject yourself to lab rat status, you can. I don't base my life on old books of myth, and most certainly would not value a being whom I cannot remove from his power whom does not need my consent to rule over me.

Er, yes. He created us, so we're his property. The Bible uses the potter and the clay as an analogy several times.

No, I wouldn't have you believe anything. Your mind is closed on the subject. I'm writing in case anyone with an open mind is reading.

And as alpha male says, if you have to go to a comedian for support, your position is likely a joke.

No my mind is not closed. Open minds are why we got men to the moon. Open minds are why blacks are no longer slaves.

You are the one who has closed your mind and pinned the hopes of your own future on an old book of myth written by bronze age scientifically ignorant men who didn't know any better.

Closed minded is clinging to a book that looks more like a fairy tale with talking snakes, talking donkeys, talking bushes, men magically popping out dirt. Would you suddenly believe in Harry Potter if someone quoted that book to explain air flight with brooms?

What makes your old book of myth any better than the Koran or OT or Vedas?

"Ridicule is the only weapon that can be used against unintelligible propositions" Thomas Jefferson.

Yea, I do think old books of myth are a joke, unfortunately a needlessly self inflicted cruel joke that causes humans too kill over them.

So according to you, your god character puts humans as his property? Ok, so to him you are like a house or a car or a building? I am not an object so if you want claim that that alone would prevent me from worshiping such a being, not that you even have any scientific evidence for one in any case.

I am not a thing to be owned.

You still believe in a cloud gremlin holding your hand every step of the way. You believe he made a special happy lovely place where you get to spend the rest of eternity just hanging out with the big G and your loved ones. And you believe this being made the universe, simply because you cannot comprehend it, therefore godidit.
Tell me, of the two which do you think is more childish?

Kitan's little rant is the only childish thing so far. Never seen a cloud gremlin nor do I believe in one, so no. As for God and the heaven He has for His children of faith, we will have many jobs to work, million year vacations to explore the universe, but most of all we will be face to face with Him, able to thank Him for what He did to redeem us to himself.

Just out of interest GC, do you believe that rainbows are a sign from god?

Yes, they are a reminder that God will never flood the world again, He cleaned it up with a flood of water and now He is cleaning up people with a flood of love through Christ our savoir.

To show hardcores the need for God, but seems you all still want listen, just go on blaming God (something you do not even believe in) for the things humans do. You all don't even try to improve such situations, because you find satisfaction in blaming God. And you all call us crazy.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

No we dismiss you because you have no evidence. You dismiss us because you don't like what we have to say. If you had evidence for your position it would be something you could take to the patent office and win a Nobel Prize with. Faith is nothing but a form of wishful thinking, you do it, Muslims do it, Jews do it, Hindus do it, an that is what does not make "faith" universal. But the fact that you and I type on computers, which are products of science, that IS universal.

Crazy is believing a bearded man in a white robe and sandels with a magic wand is battling with a guy in a red suit with a pitchfork over the neurons in your brain. THAT is crazy.

When children watch Batman cartoons, it makes sense that they fantasize like that because they don't know any better. In evolutionary terms the god claims of antiquity both in polytheism and monotheism made sense that people would make those gap answers, the problem today with clinging to that is that we know much better now about reality in a scientific sense.

So the only rational explanation to why religions and god claims pop up is because of our species ignorance, both unintended or willful ignorance. Of course a god exists to you because you want to believe it badly enough so you do. So do Muslims and Jews and Hindus and so did the people of ancient Egypt who believed in Isis and Horus and Osiris.

Who is "hardcore"? The raped kid? Explain what a kid could do to deserve to be a pawn in a beef this God would have with a perpetrator? If you are putting it like this then this God is in bed with Satan and the kid is merely a poker chip in a rigged bet. Kinda like a "Good cop/bad cop" except neither are good and both are corrupt.

The core reason we don't believe in your god is lack of evidence. This only address your claim of this god character being moral. I would hardly say allowing a kid to be raped knowing you can stop it moral.
