Atheist = as a minimum, lack of belief in a god or gods.
There are no beliefs in atheism, though you may outright believe that there are no gods in tandem or addition to the above.
I do not oppose religion in the public sphere because I'm an atheist. I oppose it because I'm a secularist. I don't oppose an established church because I'm an atheist, but because I'm a disestablishmentarian. And so on.

That wasn't my question though. So far no one has cited a single difference between the philosophical views of atheism and Satanism. From a (non)belief they're exactly the same.

Nope, I certainly don't  But I respect Alex's understanding of the term just fine. As long as we just explain what we believe or don't believe, all is well. I'm happy to say I personally believe there are no gods, but each atheist can say whatever they want.
So... you went to a LVS forum, read the faq, felt you needed more info... So went to a completely different forum which wasn't a LVS one, to find out more?
I'm starting to see plot holes...
Has anyone got satans email address? I deleted it by accident. I know it starts with hornupthearse...

Well, as a Satanist, I'm required to devour 1% of all babies I see. But I'm also not a satanist, I'm just an atheist, so I drop kick old ladies.
