I want a direwolf so bad <3 Ghost is beautiful
I think no matter how well you CGI the wolves it'll still look kinda fake, and the acting will be less sincere in the scenes where the characters interact with them.

"Ironically like the nativist far-Right, which despises multiculturalism, but benefits from its ideas of difference to scapegoat the other and to promote its own white identity politics; these postmodernists, leftists, feminists and liberals also use multiculturalism, to side with the oppressor, by demanding respect and tolerance for oppression characterised as 'difference', no matter how intolerable." - Maryam Namazie

A direwolf would be pretty cool, but I'm pretty sure they won't eat kibble. It'd probably eat Tanner. Uh-uh.

I'd rather have a dragon...but that would just be impractical.

It's clearer in the books, but even in the TV show I believe there has been more than one mention of an every growing pack of wolves roaming south of the Trident, led by a giant, ferocious she-wolf. I could be mixing my book memories with my TV memories though..... Um... +2...
Summer is still alive with Bran, and so is Shaggydog with Rickon. Nymeria is ranging with the pack, and Ghost is with Jon.
Haha, I completely forgot about Bran and Rickon....that whole story line completely slipped my mind!

Enough reason not to have a dire wolf.
Tanner is adorable.

I agree.
But he's having an allergy situation and he's scratching his ears off. They're a little patchy, which takes down the cute factor. I can't figure out what is causing it. He's on Blue Buffalo food with a protein source (Duck) that he has never reacted to, it's grain free so it's not that. Nothing else has changed except the seasons. I hope he's not having a pollen allergy or something like that. Have to have him on Zyrtec... Had a steroid shot a couple of weeks ago from the vet, but that's wearing off it seems...

If Tanner's ears are in desperate need of medical attention, maybe that makes him a Dire Dog?
I wonder if my own pooch has any Dire in her?
