So, back when Google+ was a new thing, a few of us would often gather in a Google+ Hangout and spend a few hours chatting, playing games, etc.
It's been a while and there are loads of new people on the forums, so I thought it might be a good idea to schedule a hangout for this weekend and get to know each other face to virtual face.
If you are up for it, I'll start a Hangout at 5pm EST (10pm in the UK) on Saturday 25th. If you want to add my Google+ account in advance, you can at this link: https://plus.google.com/110975258337007808273/posts

Would love to but will have to pass as I don't know what my friends have planned for me in Florida. If you make this a regular thing, I'm quite sure I could join in on one every now and then.

I'd be down, but I have no idea what a google+ hangout is or how to go about it.
I can't remember where this verse is from, I think it got removed from canon:

Google's (largely) failed foray into social media. If you have a Google account, then you have a Google+ profile. Hangouts is just the Goog's messaging service.

Oh, ok. Yeah, I have a google+ account, I've just never been a part of a hangout. And then there's this forum which seems like a hangout to me, so I wasn't sure how it would differ.

Speaking of google+, my daughter has a youtube account and a gmail, and so she recently discovered she had a google+ account. Her mother and I won't allow her to do any social media-ing until shes older, but I was monitoring her activity and she was basically looking at her favorite youtuber's stuff. She was pretty excited and she's an only child living in the country, so friends are few an far between, which is why I didn't shut her down immediately; felt bed Anyhow, I started getting nervous when she started making posts and joining clubs (or whatever they're called), then some dude with a colorful pot leaf avatar commented on one of her things. Nothing bad, but that was enough for me to shut it down. So, my question is, is there a way to filter who can see her account? Like with Facebook you can set it to private and only family and friends can see it, is there some sort of child safe way to go about google+? Or is it basically a free for all?

I've never done a hangout before, and I'm not sure if I needs some special software or account for it. I also don't know if I'll be well. But, we shall see. I'd like to in theory. Hope it goes well, with or without me.
