Sacred Text Forum
I would love to see a debate forum, or sub-forum of religion where sacred texts such as the Bible and Quran etc. could be discussed and debated.

RE: Sacred Text Forum
There is already a debate forum, and you can request for a formal debate anytime on a choice of your topic. I don't see the need for a scripture specific debate forum considering how unused and dusty the currect section is.

The debate forums are reserved for a very restrictive genre of formal debate. I'm not sure that's what OP has in mind...

A place to regurgitate Bible and Koran verses. And a forum to place Star trek lore? What about one for Harry Potter?

As if we are stopping people from posting verses. Mind rule #1 though, as to avoid senseless spamming of them without any orientation towards the discussion.

We discuss them generally in the appropriate religion sections.

You hold the bible up there, real still, and I'll chainsaw it up. Deal? Big Grin

I would like to redirect the Skeptic to a thread we had recently.  It was a place to quote scripture...our favorite ridiculous verse

I don't know how you tell a sacred text from a standard text. Someone says it is sacred, I suppose.

I read "scared". I just woke up, though.

Uhm... This is an atheist forum. There are no "sacred" texts here.
Just texts.

There are "sacred" texts here, they are normally in green and have a kind of hammer associated with them Tongue
