He also went on about how Christianity teaches good morals and helps people and I couldn’t really think of an argument to counter this idea.

So do you think I was being a bigot?

Thanks

I think I have a different idea of what bigotry is than your friend. However, I am only posting here because your post made me LMAO. I was called a bigot by a Christian just yesterday because I wrote an article about Catholic priests and pedophilia. The gist of the whole article was that parents should not leave their children alone with anyone just because they share the same belief system. I wouldn't leave a child alone with one of you atheists, just because we agree. There was no religious bashing in this article at all (unlike my pieces on homosexuality hehe). I never noticed it before, but I think this bigotry angle might be the new big thing with Christians.

I usually respond with hostility, but that's because I'm a bigot. Wink

In all seriousness, when someone uses a term incorrectly, my favorite thing to do is to provide a definition for the term, reiterate what was said and wait a minute while their small brains (sorry, bigot) sort it out. What really makes them infuriated is when they reply with their but, but, your a bigot because you don't believe in god argument and I simply restate the definition and reiterate what was said again. It doesn't make them see things my way, but it sure pisses them off.

So how is that an idiotic statement Dis? Seems perfectly straight forward to me. Perhaps you thought I was point scoring or trying to claim the high ground? Hopefully you're no fly by poster...

Yes. Dodging questions and perversions of logic are his forte.

Baseless assertion. & You're question has nothing to do with anything of relevance, Golem.
