Is that not what you do with the Koran?

I do not do anything with the Koran, I'm not interest in it, it holds no value for me.

There may be very little reason to doubt what you "know", but you've given every reason you ought to be committing yourself...rather than responding to us, here, on these boards.

You're listening to a disembodied voice...GC.......................that isn't some minor thing, it isn't an everyday occurrence....that's ignoring that your're a ridiculous and unskilled liar, I know.......but you -want- us to ignore that....don't you?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

WOW...

Glad you agree.

The funny thing about this is everyone is hearing something different.

How do you know what you know GC?
more auditory hallucinations?

Sigh. Imma wait forever for an honest answer

The truth is, GC, you have no way of knowing. You can't know anything about god. You can believe a ton of stuff, but you don't know shit. And neither did the sleazebags who wrote the damn thing. They pulled it all out of their asses. Made it right up as they went. That's all faith is. Not knowing and making up an answer.

You're making shit up, too. You may believe what you're saying, but you don't know it to be true. Wouldn't life be so much easier if you simply owned up to that?

....I really am incurable, aren't I. This optimism can't be good for my health in a long run.

What's the answer gonna be? Complaining about my language, more arguments from personal experience and more bible quotes, complete with a bare assertion about the nature of god. Yawn.

You would, if you were born in Afghanistan, but, of course, you were born into the correct faith. Lucky you.

I've made that suggestion to christians many times but they usually insist that they would have found 'the truth' regardless of birthplace and then cite instances of christians in majority muslim countries. Let's see what GCs response is.

The funny thing about this is everyone is hearing something different.

Exactly why would God tell everyone the answer to my prayers, it's our relationship and my question.

If you're speaking of different interpretations of the same things, how do you know the others asked God to reveal the truth about a certain subject. How do you know they didn't just assume God meant what they believe. When I believe something about scripture that I think I know to be the truth I usually mention that I have assumed it to be correct or possible.
