Who will win?

RE: Who will win?
Gordon Brown could come third and still win because of the way the electoral system is set up. We use a first past the post system like America, rather than a popular vote system. This is because in each constituency we are voting for our local MP, not the overall party.

Since the votes are so widespread, you'll have a lot of conservative and lib dem votes wasted in the individual constituency races if Labour win that constituency. It seems perfectly fair to me; if a party wants to win seats it has to convince the majority population of that seat.

Three rules for succeeding in politics:
1. Money is Power
2.Power is Fame
3. If a situation looks bad, lie your ass out of it
The more questions we ask, the less answers we'll have.

I can't see why,it's pretty much been the case whenever it's been tried as a system.I oppose such a system. However, Socialisttc policies are easily incorporated into a capitalist system. EG Health, education and welfare as is in the UK and Australia.

I accept a regulated capitalism is probably the best system for my country right now. However one natural outcome of laissez faire capitalism can be Fascism.

Dictatorships have little to with ideology and everything to do with power.

RE: Who will win?
I voted for Conservative NOC. Not because thats what I want, but because the current state of the opinion polls point towards that being the most likely result.

A hung parliament might be good for the country, particularly if it led to PR. The political system needs shaking up. IMO:

Labour are the party of the state bureaucracy. Since they came to power they have relentlessly increased the size and power of the state. Their instinct is to regulate and micro-manage everything. They regard civil liberties as an inconvenience, and have done their best to destroy our freedoms. They are also grossly incompetent when it comes to running the economy.

The Conservatives are the party of wealthy. Their agenda of individual empowerment is a sham. The only individuals that they wish to empower are the rich ones, and mainly they want to empower them to screw the poor. If they came to power it would tax cuts for the wealthy and service cuts for everyone else. They would probably manage the economy more successfully than Labour, but then again so would the average monkey.

As for the Lib Dems, I'm not really sure what they stand for, other than enthusiastically embracing the super-bureaucratic and undemocratic EU. I'm not sure if they know what they stand for either.

A plague on all of them.

Don't know who will win and since it will be " death by 1,000 cuts " ( jobs and services) whichever wins, it will be ordinary working-class people who will suffer.
Anyway, doesn't Brown's gaff today in Rochdale illustrate that this campaign has gone on far too long?

Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity.

Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist.

You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.

The media is probably having a fairly big influence, Rupert Murdoch has got his fingers in a lot of pies and clearly wants Cameron as PM. He's pulled out all the stops to get him into power, look at the majority of newspaper headlines!

I'm voting Lib Dem btw.
