Ask ze German
RE: Ask ze German
I forgot about the songs on children's TV shows.  Alex, you are just screwed.  I don't think you thought through this whole having children thing.  When your children are driving you crazy, you can think of me, relaxing with a glass of wine or cognac or Scotch or beer, listening to some glorious Bach or Mozart or Beethoven or etc. on these speakers:

Cheers!

We've discussed those speakers in detail already if you remember. And the power wonders of crown amps. Thanks for rubbing it in.

Trouble is that I don't really know which ones are available in the US... Can you name a typical importer?

Here are the names of several importers of German wines:

Winesellers, Ltd.
Winebow, Inc.
Purple Wine Co.
Loosen Bros. USA, Ltd.
Scoperta Importing Co.
Joseph Victori Wines

Is it true that german trains run like clockwork?

I know they used to.  When I was in Germany, my father was talking with a conductor at a station, so he lost track of the time.  When the conductor noticed that we were maybe half a minute to 45 seconds late leaving the station, he hurried up and got the train moving.

Those times are long gone. To be fair, the german train system is huge and horribly intricate, and budged cuts have left DB with dangerously little buffer overhead to compensate for mishaps. So delays of a quarter hour or so are frequent nowadays. Still, one can travel more or less reliably.

That is disappointing.  I hope the wine won't be equally so.

Looking at other countries that make good wine, there seems to be no obvious positive correlation with timely trains...
