Ask a San Diego Native with an airplane as his moniker

RE: Ask a San Diego Native with an airplane as his moniker
Flair as in bartending tricks? I dunno.

We are 200 km from L.A., and our city technically borders Tijuana, with the San Ysidro neighborhood.

I guess TJ being there is a mixed bag. You do have a fair amount of illegal immigrants coming from there (though I'm confused by immigration law, so I couldn't tell you who is actually legal). I have not bothered going to TJ since about 1984, since the traffic getting back in to SD County is usually pretty fierce. I'm just not interested enough to go there, based only on that. I am somewhat curious about their main shopping district (Revolucion?). Also, the soccer stadium down there is pretty new, IIRC. It'd be fun to go see Xolos in a Champions League or Liga MX match.

Jurrasic Park? Never heard of it, except for the movie.

I believe you when you state you have never been west of Colorado.  San Diego is not terribly close to Los Angeles, though one can drive there and back in a day.  But you are not allowed to publicly post about Jurassic Park, and you will receive visitors who will appropriately silence you explain that to you.

Southern edge of Greater Los Angeles actually abut northern edge of greater San Diego along I-15, between Temecula and Escandido, my wife owns a house there.   It's true the two metropolises seem separate along the coast and I-5, largely because the huge area there occupied by Camp Pendleton marine base,  but they are touching further inland.

I go by county lines. Fallbrook? SDCO. Temecula? RivCO. which is definite La area (or "Greater southern Ca as they call it).
