Damned Texans
RE: Damned Texans
The best example of that form of xtian myopia was this:

http://www.wgal.com/Pat-Robertson-Tells-...od/6594582

Quote:Pat Robertson Tells Dover Residents They Rejected God

Quote:"I'd like to say to the good citizens of Dover: If there is a disaster in your area, don't turn to God, you just rejected him from your city. And don't wonder why he hasn't helped you when problems begin, if they begin. I'm not saying they will, but if they do, just remember, you just voted God out of your city. And if that's the case, don't ask for his help because he might not be there."

This was on November 10, 2005, shortly after the school board was voted out by the residents.

This was quickly followed by:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mid-Novemb...o_outbreak

Quote:The Mid-November 2005 outbreak was an unseasonably strong tornado outbreak on November 15, 2005 in the Midwestern United States. It occurred along a cold front separating warm, humid air from the southeast from cold Arctic air to the north and northwest. At least 50 confirmed tornadoes have been reported in the central United States in the states of Alabama, Arkansas, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Missouri and Tennessee over that afternoon and evening.

What happened, Pat?  Did your fucking god miss Pennsylvania?

Quote:Texas denies Medicaid coverage for autism therapy for kids

Typical Texan insanity but I thought the example of a 'Murrican health insurance plan might be instructive for our posters in more civilized countries.

Quote:Now De La Cruz and other parents — who say their children with autism are legally entitled to such treatment — are butting heads with Texas officials. And without Medicaid coverage, they must either forgo the therapy or find a way to pay for individual insurance plans that help pick up the costs.

De La Cruz has turned to an individual Humana plan to cover his son’s therapy. But it costs him $198 a month, a small fortune when he is watching expenses closely while preparing to go back to school to study nursing. And the cost goes beyond just the premium.

“The most difficult part is the deductible,” he said. “It’s $6,500 – it’s pretty outrageous that you have to pay that before anything is covered.”

Yep.  This is what the republicunts think is so wonderful!

Quote:Texas Supreme Court sides with family that refuses to educate kids while awaiting Rapture

Quote:One Christian family in Texas has been accused of refusing to educate their nine children because they believe the Rapture is imminent — and they’ve just won a big case in front of the Texas Supreme Court.

Texass... where even the so-called smart people are morons.

The idiots should have been made to give a specific date for their imaginary event with the understanding that if it doesn't happen as they claim that they will be tossed into a wood chipper. Maybe the kids will do it.

Did Pat fuck up the criteria again ??

I recall the mere existence of a a paltry handful of righteous folk could have deterred God's mighty wrath from Sodom.  The election results were not 100% to 0% and turnout was not 100% either.  So Pat got it wrong, right ??

Also, anyone in Dover still sending their check to the 700 Club is an idiot.  Pat has already declared it ain't doing any good.
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

I think it is worse than that, V.  I think poor old Pat can't face the idea that maybe Pennsylvania got it right and Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas got it wrong.  That thought would never cross his tiny little mind.  Hence the invocation of the "mysterious ways" line of shit!

That works out to what, about 5 cents per tax payer?  And the dummies who wrote the law will get re-elected.
