When I was a Christian, I would never have defended such immorality. But I became an atheist, so I am likely not representative of Christians generally.
This makes me think of something that shocked me when I was young and naive, when I heard some members of my church say that they would lie and say anything to convert people to our religion. I was shocked and appalled by such gross immorality. There is certainly something very seriously wrong with many Christians, as they not only make poor thinkers, they make poor Christians as well.
