Remember everyone if you meet god and he asks you to a drinking game do not do it.
He will get angry and flood the earth again.

For that, you need a god of health, which is a different department. Asclepius comes to mind, though the big god of health would be Apollo. So you will need to take that up with one of them.

Dionysus will get you drunk. You can see the miracle of this to this day, that drinking still produces drunkenness, even though many people do not believe in him. This is how great he is, and what a good sport he is about heretics!

It is the first poll I have ever set up, and I was careless about that.

An angry drunk god with no bladder control is more deserving of pity than worship. Pity and incontinence pants.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Keep in mind, all of you heretics, that Dionysus is not omnipotent, omniscient, nor did he create this mess of a world in which we live.  He is the god of divine intoxication.  Google him if necessary.

Noah and Lot were pals of Dionysus.  They got passed out drunk on his wine.  Jesus liked it as well.  God loved it.

Stimbo, you just made me picture a nursing home up in the sky for senile and decrepit old gods!
I make myself laugh just imagining the conversations.

Well, Christianity isn't all bad, but it is better to dispense with the other Christian nonsense and just stick with Dionysus, as a large part of Christianity is bad.

With Dionysus, you don't have to believe any particular old book to be on good terms with him.  (Even though Homer is a better writer than the Christian writers, you don't have to believe everything he wrote.)  Plus Dionysus is not interested in where you stick your penis, unlike the pervert Christian god.  Gay, straight, bi, whatever, he is okay with this, and he isn't peering into everyone's bedroom to see what they are doing, so he isn't particularly interested in even knowing if you are gay, straight, bi, or whatever.  Dionysus isn't watching you urinate and defecate all the time, too.  If he ever saw you doing that, it would be by accident, and he would probably look away rather quickly, like decent people.

Additionally, Dionysus did not create this mess of a world, and is unable to make it perfect.  (He gave us wine and alcohol, and tells us to party and have a good time.  So he is doing his part in making the world a little better.)  He is not the sadist that the Christian God is.  Dionysus will not send anyone to eternal torment.

Dionysus is far more civilized than the Christian god.  Really, if you are going to believe in a god, Dionysus is a great option.

Thanks Pyrrho, I quite like the idea but my AA advisor suggests I remain an atheist for now.
