RE: Question to Former Christians
I got the assumption and subsequent rejection of God I mentioned in my OP from a paragraph in a book by David Wilkerson in which a father is trying to talk to his son about Jesus. The boy replied "Buzz off, old man. You are a phony" and as a result rejected Christianity and thought all of them were hypocrites.

So you were reading a fictional book & assumed all faith is lost in the exact same way?

RE: Question to Former Christians
Isn't that the reason people raised in a Christian home lose their faith? Can that happen even if the parents were loving and tried to practice what they preach most of the time?

According to a lot of the ex-christians here, many of them lost their faith after they bothered to read the bible in it's entirety.

RE: Question to Former Christians
So you're saying it might not be the parents fault as Wilkerson stated? Even if the parents "did everything right" as far as trying to be true?

RE: Question to Former Christians
Through reason and knowledge along with philosophical questioning did I "lose" faith. My parents had nothing to do with it.
STFU

Speaking for myself, no. For the others, probably not as you can see.
