That's erm...that's a lot of money. The biggest opening weekend in history, in fact. Yes. This is why they are continually able to say that some new film is the biggest money maker in history. It is because it costs more to see a film than it did in 1939. And also there are more people today than back then. So it is a pretty meaningless statistic for how much people generally want to see a film. "A wise man ... proportions his belief to the evidence." — David Hume, An Enquiry Concerning Human Understanding, Section X, Part I.
It also doesn't take into account the different ways a person can see this film. They can pay a regular box office ticket, they can see it in 3D, and they can see it in IMAX 3D, all ascending price structures.
"There remain four irreducible objections to religious faith: that it wholly misrepresents the origins of man and the cosmos, that because of this original error it manages to combine the maximum servility with the maximum of solipsism, that it is both the result and the cause of dangerous sexual repression, and that it is ultimately grounded on wish-thinking." ~Christopher Hitchens, god is not Great

Had they known how to wrap it up, it would have exceeded my expectations and I might even have called it a classic. The final 20 minutes, however, were fucking awful. So, though it was an enjoyable film, it was, overall, mediocre. Funny, isn't it. It was the last 20 minutes which I enjoyed the most. (I had a tear in my eye when our "friend" came to lend a hand.) hehe Also I quite like the dude from The life of Pi.

The Life of Pi dude? Yeh he was good, but I am still trying to figure out if he was seriously to be the new Hammond, or just a comic relief! I guess unless they choose to somehow miraculously resurrect him next time, I'd say he was a good character.

Shoosh, we should be revealing plots ...not fair to most reading this.

Plot?
Let me guess. The dinosaurs eat all the bad guys. The good guys get away but make sure there are enough dinos left for the next sequel...which people will lap up, too. I did get a few close-ups of the dino's mouth, and it was squeaky clean. Quote:To know yet to think that one does not know is best; Not to know yet to think that one knows will lead to difficulty.
