Several questions arise with this.. one is whether or not the world/universe is predetermined... This was going to happen no matter what and that leaves us with one form of illusion of freewill.. perhaps no matter what we do/did, thats what we were going to do.. even if we change our minds and do something completely different... thats what was going to happen anyway... If so.. there is no free will...

another one has nothing to do with a predeterministic world, but rather just free will being an illusion... the old example of this being, you wake up in the middle of the night, you're thirsty and you have a choice of apple juice or orange juice. You may think you're choosing one over the other (free will) but what if the chemicals in your brain subconsciously triggered a memory of when you were a kid in Florida and you saw a bunch of orange trees. That in return triggers some nice nostalgia and you pick the orange juice.. was that you who actually picked the orange juice or checmical reactions in your brain making you pick orange juice... Free will or not....
