Argument from Reason?

Argument from Reason?
Is there anyone familiar with this argument as advanced by Victor Reppert? I'm having trouble understanding it and cannot find much help online.

RE: Argument from Reason?
Can you say what the argument is and how you came in contact with it?
The fool hath said in his heart, There is a God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.
Psalm 14, KJV revised edition

RE: Argument from Reason?
Alex, it is a silly argument whose broad outline you can read here:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Victor_Reppert

And you can read it entire here:

http://infidels.org/library/modern/victo...eason.html

The very short version is:

People can reason.  Therefore, God exists.

But if you want a fair hearing, see links above.  But it will not be any more convincing than my very short version.

Edited to add:

For anyone who is even slightly tempted to believe this ridiculous argument, you should read the following as well:

"A wise man ... proportions his belief to the evidence."
— David Hume, An Enquiry Concerning Human Understanding, Section X, Part I.

If people could reason their way through christianity, I don't think it would have split into so many denominations throughout the centuries. I'm not familiar with AfR off the top of my head, but logic and reason should bring people closer together. Not tear them apart.

All old religion is true you can't base your beliefs on what people in the past may have done wrong. All religions have truth. All lead to the one lord. Religious bickering is distorting what is important in the ancient texts. Good for good and believe

RE: Argument from Reason?
It could be stated, at least in part, this way:

1. If naturalism is true, then meaning is indeterminate.
2. Meaning is determinate (a presupposition of reason and science).
3. Therfore, naturalism is false.

Thus, if the naturalist claims meaning is indeterminate, she undermines the basis for reason and science. But if the naturalist says meaning is determinate, she must give an explanation for this could be in a purely physical universe. Whether intentionality is accounted for by conceptual, causal, biological, or instrumental theories, the problem of determinate meaning remains.

RE: Argument from Reason?
Naturalism has fuck all to do with meaning.

The first premise is a non-sequitur.
