Randy, do you not realize you have proven nothing?

Did you expect anything less from a person who can't even make a distinction between fact and hearsay?

That's just amazing to me.  I mean, most scholars believe that Gautama Buddha existed historically, but that doesn't mean he actually found true enlightenment or that nirvana actually exists outside of a vague concept.

Don't try to equivocate the two positions. The former is thoroughly documented, some of our elderly lived through the experience.

You may disagree with those that conclude that Jesus never existed, but the position is not unreasonable given the paltry evidence.

Someone smarter than me tell me what the difference between a historian and a NT scholar is please.

A historian is simply someone who studies history. For example, a historian may be an expert on the American Revolution or the Middle Ages.

A New Testament scholar is someone who specializes in the books of the New Testament; this requires knowledge not only of the history of the period before, during and after their authorship but also of ancient languages, the history and culture of the people, knowledge of the theories of authorship and the text themselves, of course, among other things.

I have done so on multiple occasions.  Dead Horse

Sure. But you do acknowledge that there are holocaust deniers out there, right?

Not by those who have done their homework. As Ehrman right notes, this is largely an Internet-based phenomenon.

Provide the links to what you feel are your best arguments, and I will address them again. None were memorable, obviously...

First, I have not made the simplistic connection that Kevin suggests.

Second, abaris seems to miss (or conveniently ignore) the point that these FACTS are accepted by men who have far more academic chops than the entire membership of this forum combined.

This is a stupid question knowing that I just called out Sungenis for being a Holocaust denier.
