The figures of such claimed genocide are grossly overinflated and unrealistic. Even were they not it what does death matter compared to the wonderous gift of eternal life to be found within the teachings of the true religion?

Even if the figures were ten times as high as the ones you refer to it would still be worth it to share the message.

The slaughter was worth it to give them eternal life?

According to your own myths, since they were slaughtered as unrepentant non believers their "reward" was eternity in hell.

Yes, such a fine "gift".

This is a topic of debate within the SSPX. We are rather split on the matter.

I personally originally did not think it did, but in light of the revival of Christianity and the subjugation of the liberals in Russia underneath Putin I am starting to wonder if in fact it may have. Of course to have an Orthodox leader hardly is a good sign, but his actions have been rather promising.

I don't know how you could think that, Our Lady of Fatima promised world peace upon the completion of the consecration, and Sister Lucia was very adamant about mentioning the words 'Russia and the whole world' in the consecration that was supposed to be done in union with the bishops around the world, and the Holy See ignored this, to me, for a purpose. I think the pope and others in the Vatican know that this Fatima ordeal was a sham, and tactically avoided these words in the 'consecrations'. Why else would the catholic church not do such a simple prayer? Why would they not want world peace? Many catholics like to say the devil has infiltrated the Vatican, but it makes more sense that, they know deep down, this whole thing was a hoax, and they know if they go through with the real consecration, and there isn't world peace, the catholic church's power, money, and corruption quickly falls apart. This will cause a massive amount of people to disbelieve in the authenticity of the apparitions, and probably cause many to question their faith in catholicism, as a whole. That's why John Paul II, both in 1982 and 1984, and Pope Francis, in 2013, tactically ignored the "we consecrate Russia to your immaculate heart", because they know it's one big scam. (seems to me that this is the most reasonable conclusion)

Hmm...

@Randy
Can you give us your word that you do not know PiousPaladin outside this site (be that in real life or on another site) OR that he is not a sock of you? If you give me your word, I'll believe you.

I wouldn't trust Randy as far as I could kick him against the wind on a ten-man-front. I've seen too much of his duplicity already.

It is a metaphor describing a mans natural yearning for God, although I can see in this heathen world you might struggle to hear it amongst the screaming materialism around you.

What the hell would any religious knucklefucker know about metaphor?  You've had your sense of wonder amputated by this goddidit horseshit.

Spare me your pseudointellectualism.  Pretentious horseshit peddled by those who can't answer a straight question.

Were it that simple. When you sin you may lead other observers to sin with you. That simply cannot be risked, that is why scandal is forbidden. Why do you think the church has gone to such great pains to prevent co habitation and keep the gossip of acts of sexual immorality in the confessional where they should have remained? Such revelations weaken the faith of those who hear them, and such an injury upon souls must be punished.

If your god has not the power to make me repent, what on this green earth makes you think that you have one iota of a chance?

Kudos though, for the eloquence of your last statement on the subject.

I have no intentions of hiding my 'evil deeds' in any confessional, i.e., repent. I have no problem with cohabitation and usually I am in the kitchen with the women catching up on the gossip. (not a sports fan at all, except women's mud wrestling).

'acts of sexual immorality in the confessional' So that is where the priests do the little boys. I was wondering what those boxes were for.

See, I am evil and do not care who knows. Bwa ha ha ha. Big Grin

If you could ever indulge in some free-thinking and really think about what a true god would be (not that petty bitch in the bible), you would realize that if there were a god, even your insignificance would be insignificant.
