RE: Thank You
I had no idea you were going through this, Neims. What I see when I read your posts is a strong and confident person, comfortable in your knowledge and unafraid to speak it.

I can't say I understand what would drive someone to cut, but it's great that you're addressing that for yourself. Congrats. Smile

Very happy for your news! You've always seemed pretty lighthearted here. I admit, I haven't read all of everybody's posts.

Wonderful, good job!

At the risk of opening an uncomfortable conversation, I'll ask: guilt over what?

If you don't want to answer, that's cool, Neims.

Everything. I feel like a horrible person all around. I guess a lot of it comes from catholic indoctrination.

And I used to believe some really awful things in the past. I don't anymore, but still feel bad about it.

I know I've offered already, but please feel free to send me a PM if you want to talk about any of it Smile

It's certainly not your fault what you believed in the past. Indoctrination is an evil thing and anyone under those circumstances would have been brow beaten into the same beliefs. The important thing is you have grown and broken free of them.

My initial advice would be to write down a list of all the supposed bad things about yourself, then see how much objective evidence you can write down for each of those points. I would wager not much.

Then maybe write down your good points, and the objective evidence for them! I'd start with kind, thoughtful, fun and honest.
