Possibly. The word "universe" appears 55 times in the NIV. Here's one example:

Hebrews 1:1-3
1 In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, 2 but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe.

In fact, I find no evidence that the biblical writers had the slightest idea of any other planets.  In the Bible, there's only the Earth, with the sun and the moon and the stars right here in the Earth's atmosphere. Above that is heaven.

“Immediately after the distress of those days “‘the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.’

Sun, moon and stars have been mentioned; then Matthew mentions other "heavenly bodies".

With all that religious babble aside I think the possibility of life elsewhere is more plausible than gods and ghosts. We've been here for billions of years and still have no evidence of much superficial claims, but until science gets us deep into space that is left unknown. I can't say I believe it, but I'm open to it. If we ever get to that point I'm willing to bet that we'll be the alien invaders though.

The bible was clearly written only to us earthlings, so we don't know how he relates to other beings in the universe.

That's only because the earthlings who were malicious enough to write the bible for those other earthlings as dumb as you were themselves too ignorant to realize the universe might contain far more than just malicious earthlings like themselves and dumb earthlings whom they can browbeat, cajole, or hoodwink.

Yes, they're mentioned. And their context make it obvious that the authors thought they were a local phenomenon, physically a part of our sky. Unless you honestly believe things ~4.3 light years away (absolute closest) can "fall from the sky."
