I think Napoléon ought to take the test again but this time really think about the questions before answering and not do it in a hurry!

I don't doubt it, horoscopes can be seemingly accurate though. Mine seemed somewhat accurate in places and not in others. I just noticed a very similar style of writing to that of horoscopes, perhaps invoking the Barnum effect

Whether or not these things are based on science is besides the point to me, it all depends, ultimately, on how you answer the questions.

If I'd have to do it a second time for it to be accurate that just highlights how flawed these kinds of tests are in the first place.

It's just that it only contains questions about what you actually do in life rather than questions that measure how clever you are. I pay no attention to IQ tests because they're all different and all test variable knowledge but imo this is different. That's one thing. Another is that the result it gives you is on four (or five) different axes (i.e. the different letters), so much more specific than way. But yeah, not totally accurate because I identified strongly with a lot of the questions but left some neutral because I didn't. I guess it would be more accurate if it factored in a 'certainty' rating to distinguish between those answers you'd essentially guessed and those you were totally committed to.

Actually, the Barnum effect specifically refers to personality tests. It has nothing to do with IQ or knowledge tests, don't know where you got that from.

Edit Reason: Had to complete the test again
)
I've taken the test twice.... once where my answers were as honest as I could make based on degrees of + minus or neutral answers (strongly agree, strongly disagree, or neutral).
I got INTP
I took it again and this time I decided to be very black and white about it and try to.... - while still being as honest as possible - try to only give the absolute strongest "strongly agree" or "strongly disagree" answers. Very black and white. I did this because I read that apparently "neutral" answers make the test less accurate... so I wondered if being completely extreme and black and white about it while still trying to be fully 100% sincere otherwise - would be even more accurate....
That time I got INFP instead of INTP.
Wondering if I should try it 1 more time where I do it exactly like the first time, no extremes.... but just leave out the purely neutral answers.... I gave quite a lot of 100% middle neutral answers when I tested the first time.
Brb, I'll edit this post when I've done that.
Got INFP again. So basically I only got INTP when I gave any neutral answers, although that was complete 100% legit honest answering..... but I'm not sure if I should go by that 100% frank answering when I include neutrals because it says that one tip for making the test accurate is to not give neutral answers..... and without neutral answers I am definitely INFP.
But either way the only difference is whether I am a thinking or feeling. Both The logican and the mediator are otherwise the same.

Sorry, I wasn't talking about the Barnum effect, just saying that I don't trust IQ tests because they vary with time, practice, and knowledge. Basically just saying that I don't usually pay any attention to any sorts of internet tests because I see them as being like horoscopes, but that this seemed type seemed more reliable. We had to do one like this at college and my result was pretty much exactly the same.

Like I said, you're likely to get a different result based on how you answer the questions. You have to question the validity of these things, they're fun to do but IMO I don't think they're much better than horoscopes.

I had to do a few of these in school, they'd use them to categorize kids and try to make assumptions about your 'learning style' and other such nonsense. I honestly think the majority of it is bullshit tbh.

These can sometime work as a confidence booster while you are feeling down, cause all of the results say positive things about you.
