Maybe a dry run to see how security worked at the mall? That is probably me being a little paranoid, though. Or, he could have just been stupid and thought it was okay to carry an assault rifle through a mall without asking permission from security first.

All three at once? You're next level stupid if you thought it was A-OK to bring all three to a shopping mall. I know it's a very big assumption but on what is revealed in the article, seems pretty obvious he went there to shoot shit up.

The video shows that within seconds of police arrival, they descend upon Crawford and apparently fire two shots. One hits him in the elbow, and the other in the side and travels through his body, piercing major organs. There is no appearance of struggle or resistance by Crawford before police fire the shots.

Maybe it's part of being a Brit, but I can't imagine living in a country with gun laws like certain states in the USA. I mean, the thought of just seeing a gun in the open makes my blood run cold, especially a fuckmothering assault rifle.

Held by a civilian too. That's the most mind boggling thing. Like, I've only once or twice seen cops in the UK carrying guns, to see a civ with an assault rifle is truly bizarre.
