I'm not the one who starts threads about God..You guys do, I haven't started one single thread. Sometimes we'll go off subject and discuss other topics, but for the most part the discussion is about God.

Atheists start the threads, and when I humor them thinking they want an actual discussion they announce "I don't believe in God" (as if i don't already know) and we're back to square one. Pure idiocy.

I didn't bring God up sweetheart, you did. This whole conversation is predicated on the fact that God exists. YOU can't start a discussion about God, and then claim he doesn't exist. I already get that you dont believe in God, were simply discussing a scenario (hypothetical in your case) where he does exist.
You starting the discussion about God,then announcing you don't believe in God, is what YOU call a circular argument.

You guys are the ones comparing the bible to harry potter etc., but how many harry potter forums are you a member of? I'd guess zero. So obviously there is something about God that draws your little atheist behind like a moth to a flame.

I can't speak for others of course, but I'm drawn here, in part, because I'm fascinated (in an "I can't get over the crazy shit these people believe" way) by religious people. The cherry on top is their futile efforts to "prove" that their beliefs are actually reasonable. It's like watching a train wreck repeatedly in slow motion and with multiple angles.

It's because you don't see believers of Harry Potter pushing their bullshit on everyone else. It's because they aren't casting genocide spells on droves of people, fucking little children and all the while telling us who we can and cannot sleep with. It's because they don't want the subjects taught in Hogwarts taught in classrooms that my children might one day go to.

Maybe I'm not inclined to join a Harry Potter forum and bash Harry Potter because Harry Potter doesn't threaten me, and tell me what I should and shouldn't do with my life. Maybe it's because, unlike your fucked up religion, it doesn't attempt to give me an ass backwards system of morality and condemn everyone who doesn't adhere to it.
