Wow, do people take her statements out of what she intends. She means "I think out of everything said in this thread, that...".

There's been some really nasty and rude comments made in this thread, and it's gone on long enough. Take this as a warning that if this kind of behavior continues, the staff will take action against the instigators.

What precisely constitutes rude and nasty? Were the instigators warned via PM? I'm simply trying to make sense of the public lashing. The lack of specificity leaves everyone wondering whether or not he/she is on the wrong side of the new sensitivity.

I'm not going to define rude and nasty for people; it should be obvious.
Nobody has of yet been warned by PM.
This is not a public lashing, this is a general warning that whilst occasional insult throwing is fair game, repeatedly doing it, especially when it bears no relation to the conversation, is not tolerated here.
This is first and foremost, a discussion forum for everyone, be them atheist or theist. Let's try to keep things respectful and civilized.

I don't even think I responded to this thread prior to this post. xD

Thanks for the discussion, guys. Hope ya'll have a good night or good day depending on where you are in the world.
So sorry to have drawn you into this. Not at all what I would have wanted.
For everyone who feels that having the truth on your side justifies anything, you suck. Every asshole in history shared your point of view. The tricky part about human relations isn't deciding who has figured out things correctly so you can congratulate each other. The important part is what you do when you disagree. And people will always disagree. Those who won't abide disagreement have a lot to learn. Cath-y hasn't been the intolerant or manipulative one here.
Not a good day for the forums.

I'm not about to be grateful to a god who has spent my entire existence using his followers to tell me he hates me because I refuse to believe he exists because he hasn't taken five minutes to swoop out of the sky and show me he's real. It's difficult to feel gratitude toward an entity you believe is fictitious.

I saw him out on his bike! He poped a wheelie.
