If ur asking if I would marry a 12 years old girl the answer is no but that's my choice and it doesn't mean it didn't work well for others whom I know for god sake my mother was only 13 when she got married and she raised well and she doesn't feel like a victim as u r prescribing it .

But that doesn't say anything about their mental maturity or consent for that matter. I'm well aware that powerful men all around the world did it at that time and that female consent wasn't of any concern when it came to marriage. It was a simple contract with women being the commodity. That makes it repugnant, since we have moved on since then. And thankfully so.

What are you talking about? The statutory rape age is 18 in Texas.

With parental consent, 16-17 year olds can marry. I don't agree with a 16 year old getting married, but there's a gulf of difference between 16 and 10. What's your point? The laws and practices in Texas are not the same as Yemen.
