Yes it is, it is the only way you can explain rocks having consciousness.

Oh, and the consciousness in a vacuum, otherwise how could nothing have consciousness?

Evolution is the awakening of the dormant and latent consciousness in the matter.
Consciousness therefore has got to be there otherwise there can not be an awakening.
Consciousness doesn't appear from nowhere as per a magic trick.
It was always there from the very start.
It just awake from the latent and dormant stage that in the matter last millions of years
but here i stop because i am sure your brains can not cope for the time being.

by a magician hat.

Evolution is the effect of many small changes over large numbers of generations, as a species adapts to its environment. It's not meant to explain what consciousness is. It also doesn't explain where life came from in the first place. These are different fields of study.

If you insist on forcing evolution to be about consciousness, then you're talking about a different subject to everyone else.

Sof, is not that you are the reincarnation of those imbeciles that in the past ridiculed those who explain them that the planet earth is not flat and is not the center of the universe?
Are you?  Wink

Rob.  Hi
You like most atheists are in a terrible mental mess.  Panic
Evolution and consciousness are like the two sides of the same coin.
You can not take one and disregard the other.
There got to be a trigger that start evolution.
Evolution is not something magic that come from nowhere.
It is only when you guys begin to understand evolution that you can understand whether God exist or not.
By avoiding the core of the issue you just screw yourself in the head.  Rolleyes
All Darwin explained is how some species succeed while other do not.
That answer almost nothing.  Banghead
It doesn't explain what happen to those species that do not succeed, it doesn't explain what trigger the evolution.
Nothing of nothing but few crumbs and with these few crumbs you guys pretend to understand the lot
and lesson religious people.
Absolutely bizarre and crazy.  Smile

Survival trigger evolution. Evolution is about adjusting to the environment for survival. This is the reason you see animals with thick fur in extremly cold places because it helps them survive.
Survival of the fittest.

I am actually.  Good fucking guess Prikky.

My name in my previous life (As in, the last one, not the myriad of lives I had before that, of course) was Engledear Thumbplanter, I was a Viking from what is now known as Norway.  Among other favourite pastimes, I liked nothing more than a good raping (hence the surname) and pillaging, , playing headball (basically rugby played with a victim's head, great fun), fighting, sailing and postulating the flatness of the Earth.

You truly are a guru.

You fucking melon.

Whooooooooo, that is incredible pool.  Smile
Thanks for explaining me how the PHYSICAL evolution works.  Lightbulb
I never thought about it.  I'm all ears!
Can you also explain the non physical evolution so we know that the evolution is not only of
physical nature?  Huh
But wait a minute pool.
If the survival trigger the evolution it means that there are no other trigger?
What about uranium that release energy?
That is not about survival.
And what about people reading books or posting in the forum?
That is evolution of the mind and is not about survival.
You never thought about it pool, did you?  I'm all ears!
