You just remind me that smoker that complained that he couldn't breath properly but at the same time he could not give up his smokes.
How stupid can people be?
No matter how you try to help them.
They don't want to change so they eventually end up in the pit to rot there.
How nice man!  Hi

Fuck off you self-righteous prick.

Wow. For a few pages there this thread was beginning to look like a civilized discussion... Then, of course Rico Suave came back online, having finished milking his sacred cow, or whatever and it's right back to "Hindus say the stupidest sh*t".

Sigh...

It isn't funny anymore. Time to die thread, time to die.

You automatically associate me wanting to know one of Gods unique thoughts with ridicule?
Why do I get the sense that you aren't being entirely sincere? I mean having access to Gods thoughts, thoughts of the creator of the universe? You could demonstrate an intellect beyond anything I've ever experienced. Give me proof beyond dispute, tell me of technologies no man has yet conceived of. Even tell me the workings of the universe itself.
Yet you are displaying none of these things. Are you being modest?

i dont have access to Gods mind He has access to mine if God shares a tiny bit of insight with me its not because i have some kind of key to Gods mind and am unlocking it whenever i want . neither is God a genie in a bottle that grants our every wish .

He does? Well, then - that's great. Now all he needs to do - is say it again to all the followers of different religions and that will be a lot of problems - like holy wars, fundamentalist terrorism, etc - solved.

maybe He has and they dont listen and instead worship and obey their religion instead of Him ...

Then what good is such a god?

And how can you be sure it's God and not Satan, Easter Bunny, a telepathic alien from planet XZ-8768758, your neighbor's CB-radio, or a symptom of a mental illness?

Well, there are billions of religious people, who don't claim that god is personally contacting them - and yet they believe. There aren't all that many atheists yet, so your assertion must be wrong.

i believe that eventually they will become atheists they just have not become one yet

ALL OF THEM? Wow - you must be really special then, to be one of the few chosen who heard and understood his message.
You should start your own religion... Tongue

That doesn't make sense. Billions of religious people - who believed in gods and never claimed to have been personally contacted by their deities - died religious. They did not become atheists.

You still haven't defined what "god" is. You demand that science study something, and yet you can't even tell us what exactly it is you want them to study. I have no idea what you mean by "god", and I can only conclude that you don't either, besides some vague notion.

I'd like to know how exactly you propose god should be studied. The default position to any event is that we don't know what happened. We then follow the evidence and try and form a reasonable conclusion. The default position is not "whatever someone wants the explanation to be" and then everyone has to prove them wrong. That is employing the argument from ignorance, which I talk about in detail on my site here. If something is unexplained, then it is unexplained. That isn't a license for people to make up vague explanations like "god did it". What does that even mean? How do you distinguish between god doing something and a mega-toad from dimension X doing it? How would the results look any different from our perspective? Until you define god, I can only guess at any of this.

This is how science works Smile If it didn't, science would be comprised of loads of random testimony and unsupported claims, and would contradict itself all the time. Most importantly, science serves to further understanding. What possible use to anyone is "god did this"? It's incredibly vague, does not actually explain anything and is just a roadblock to further investigation. No one is stopping you believing that god did whatever you want to believe he did, but science has rigorous methods, with good reason.

You've admitted, to your credit, that we have no reason to believe you really are receiving thoughts from god because we have no way to verify it. And that is the only evidence you have presented for this god even existing.

well i cant define God i know very very little the human mind is not capable of understanding God we are not even capable of conceiving of other dimensions that einstein has talked about so how can we conceive of God . religions say he is an old man in the sky i dont put God in such a limited box . I dont need to understand everything to believe i accept my limitations as a human and im just content with some knowledge that is beyond my own limited mind and am happy with that . i cannot provide any evidence only God can provide that evidence for you i dont think you would even be convinced by a scientist honestly if you reject the idea completely that God exists . im not a scientist so i dont know what scientific technology exists maybe someday it will advance to the point where the mind can be mapped and studies by a machine and incoming thoughts can be identified but again results will be contested by those who do not believe and refuse the idea .

I hope you guys understand anyway with this sort of example but if you still can't get it let me put in a different way and explain with a different example why it is next to impossible for you to communicate with God.

If you are not able to get a perfect tune with God is a bit the same when you try to tune a station on your radio.

Is not the radio fault.
It is your fault.
God is there.
The right station is there.
It is only a question to tune in.
That of course is a lot more difficult than to tune a radio to the correct station.
First you got to change your curved waves into a straight line and in order to do this it require a lot of effort both physical and mental.
Physically speaking it is important to stop eating something that dirt your body like non vegetarian food, smokes, booze, drugs and so on.
Mentally speaking it is very important to keep your mind open to all possibilities but even more important is to clean the non physical part of ourselves like the chakra.
Once you do that the straight line is able to go through your inner self and experience God but of course
this parallelism can not happen if you keep on cling to the physical science as the panacea for all problems.  Smile

Where's your evidence for this?
