Pre-Uthman Quran Found in England

Pre-Uthman Quran Found in England
'Oldest' Koran fragments found in Birmingham University
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-33436021
Radio Carbon dating puts the Quran at no later than 645 (95%, the parchment is from between 568 and 645) so the person who wrote this Quran potentially met Muhammad. Uthman reigned starting 644. So that means Uthman never got his dirty paws on this Quran.

And the best part? The Yemeni government cannot stop the release of any research into this Quran. Still eagerly awaiting the release of Sana'a Manuscript. They know the Quran has changed, hence they are choosing hide the Sana'a Manuscript.

Finally visiting the planet Pluto was exciting enough, but this is even more amazing for me. I'm really looking forward to seeing what these Quran pages say. I am sure whoever releases research into these pages will be signing a death wish.

In the photo, are those diacritical marks on the script?

Doesn't look like it. But I'm on my mobile phone right now. If you search "Kufic Script" you'll see examples other Quran pages without diacritical markings. It doesn't bode well for the Ummah.

I'm interested to see what this Quran says as well. Does anyone know if this was released prior to it's new dating?
Plato had defined Man as an animal, biped and featherless, and was applauded. Diogenes plucked a fowl and brought it into the lecture room with the words,

"Behold Plato's man!"

Thanks for the tip. Wiki not always the best source says kufic is 8-9th century but the example shown had no diacritcal marks. Obviously that is way too late for this parchment. As you say, let's wait to see if the shit hits the fan.

The University at which it was found intends to put it on public display. I have family around those parts so maybe I can convince my parents to take me up there to see it. This is the sort of thing that excites me.

Wow, fascinating story. Makes you wonder what other books are laying hidden away in corners of some of these buildings.

' Wrote:The manuscript is part of the Mingana Collection of more than 3,000 Middle Eastern documents gathered in the 1920s by Alphonse Mingana, a Chaldean priest born near Mosul in modern-day Iraq.

He was sponsored to take collecting trips to the Middle East by Edward Cadbury, who was part of the chocolate-making dynasty.

And to think it was sat in Birmingham of all places! Pretty much Muslim central for the UK. They'll see this as a sign for sure!

In other news, in Blackburn original sketches of Mr Tickle and a prepublication manuscript of the book have been found.
