Honestly, I'm fucking tired of this quoting system

There is something very fucking wrong with the editing of quoting on this site that messes up every fucking goddamn thing.
FIX IT.
More often than not, I have to copy and paste in italics what the person said to whom I want to respond.
It's fucking dumb.

Do you have the editor in source mode? If not, that's probably the problem. Go to your User CP and check 'editor in source mode by default'.

There's also a little page-looking icon on the far right of the text editor that you can toggle source mode on and off with. I do some things with it off and some with it on.
