Why is Faith/Belief a Moral Issue?
RE: Why is Faith/Belief a Moral Issue?
@orange

Actually, it's the Bible that teaches moral relativism, not atheists. If I did a poll, I doubt if any of the people here you criticize would agree that slavery, genocide or rape is permissible under any circumstances. Yet, while the Church tells us sex before marriage is an absolute sin, the Bible tells us that a man can rape a woman who's not married to another man and just pay her father and marry her after the fact. He is not punished for engaging in premarital sex, but just as when you go into a store and break something you have to pay for it, so the man must pay the woman's father for damaged goods.

In fact, I don't know anywhere the Bible forbids premarital sex. But if you know something that contradicts this passage, please let us know.

Note: While going back over this post to check for typos, I found I had accidentally typed "sex before slavery." Freudian slip?
The god who allows children to be raped out of respect for the free will choice of the rapist, but punishes gay men for engaging in mutually consensual sex couldn't possibly be responsible for an intelligently designed universe.

I may defend your right to free speech, but i won't help you pass out flyers.

Those who can make you believe absurdities, can make you commit atrocities.
